With the budget woes in the school district, athletes are paying more to participate and getting less equipment playing time etc. Many programs have multiple fundraisers to help defray these costs. In the last five years our wrestling program has benefited greatly from these charitable gambling revenues from Scoops Bar and Grill, Carbonne’s Pizza / CR Billiards, and The Shortstop Tavern. We have been able to add more coaches to our staff, purchase new mats and a new mat hoist, pay for new uniforms at every level, pay for tournaments, hotels and transportation as well as many other things. At the same time, we have been able to help all the other athletic programs as well as ourselves. Thanks to our sponsors the kids and parents in our program do not have to do a lot of fund raising.
