The CRAA Wrestling Program is an introductory program for k-6th grade. This is where kids can learn the basic skills of wrestling while having fun being part of a team. Each of the 8 teams is assigned at least one qualified volunteer coach who more then likely is a former Coon Rapids wrestler and wants only the best for your child. This program will demonstrate that the great sport of wrestling is very challenging and exciting as well. Parents, grand parents and friends of the family are always welcome to come out and cheer their favorite wrestler on.

Sign-ups for the CRAA season begin in late September and are at the old fire house, now the equipment building for the CRAA, on the corner of Northdale and Foley Boulevard . Practices are at CRHS and CRMS (depending on what team your child is on) starting in early October. The cost is approximately $ 40.00 Kids weigh-in and are placed on teams the first or second night of practice.

Team dual meets are usually held on Mondays and Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 8:30 pm and are held in the west end of the field house at CRHS. The season concludes in the third week of November with the City Team Championship Tournament and the Individual City Championships on the main floor of the CRHS field house.
